OZASIA FESTIVAL

SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 4, 2015

Presented by Adelaide Festival Centre, OzAsia Festival is Australia’s leading international arts festival giving access to the best theatre, dance, music, film and visual arts from across Asia.

This year’s program showcases an impressive array of works by artists at the cutting edge of contemporary Asia, plus spectacular outdoor and food events.

World-leading artists Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Ryoji Ikeda, Meng Jinghui and Melati Suryodarmo are all presenting stunning Australian premieres. Internationally renowned performance collective, Teater Garasi from Indonesia makes their long-awaited Australian debut. And for audiences prepared to try something new, the mayhem of Japan’s Miss Revolutionary Idol Berserker makes it an unmissable event.

Perfect for families, Moon Lantern Festival returns on Sunday 27 September with a stunning new design concept, never-before-seen lanterns and for the first time, featuring the Hong Kong Dragon – the largest lantern created for a moon lantern festival.

Over the years the Festival has put the spotlight on particular regions of Asia, including Korea, Japan, Malaysia, India, and China. In 2015 the cultural journey will continue under the direction of new Festival Director, Joseph Mitchell, with a focus on the cultural delights of Indonesia.
